Overview
Mirror Mirror is a startup with a tested approach to improving team alignment. Their diagnostic report presents data across four domains and twenty components, showing both perceived effectiveness and team alignment. The goal was to redesign this report to improve clarity, accessibility, and visual appeal while keeping it easy to reproduce.

The Challenge
Mirror Mirror’s existing visualizations were powerful but presented several problems. Users found the component labels difficult to read, the color system overlapped too much, and the overall structure overwhelming. The visual design did not meet WCAG accessibility standards, particularly for color contrast and color-blind friendliness. Mirror Mirror also needed the new system to be scalable, so their team could generate future reports without requiring additional design input.
The Process
I started by reviewing the existing report and feedback from users. Together with the team, we outlined the key messages and kept the circular layout to show how the model’s parts connect, but simplified it for easier reading and flexibility. All graphics were updated with accessibility in mind. Instead of relying on color alone, I used differences in brightness and contrast to make sure the visuals work for people with color vision issues and meet WCAG standards. The effectiveness scores were grouped into shaded buckets that can be distinguished by brightness rather than color, making the report clear and easy to reproduce across different formats.
The Result
The final report design gives Mirror Mirror a clear and professional way to share team alignment data. It simplifies complex info while keeping important details, meets accessibility standards, and lets the team create reports without extra design work. This new format helps Mirror Mirror confidently present their model to clients, investors, and future users.
